Here is our 2010 Box Office Wrap Up.  It has been a great year for movies and here is the list of the Top 10 Movies in order of box office receipts.  This is in place of our regular feature, Upcoming Attractions.  There are no movies in full distribution this weekend so in order to give our regular readers their fill of movie information, we thought this would be a great substitute.

  1. Toy Story 3 – $414.638
  2. Alice in Wonderland – $333.920
  3. Iron Man 2 – $312.057
  4. Twilight: Eclipse – $300.099
  5. Inception – $291.833
  6. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 – $272.812
  7. Despicable Me – $249.725
  8. Shrek – Forever After – $238.372
  9. How To Train Your Dragon – $217.388
  10. The Karate Kid – $176.560

That is a total of $2.8B spent on just ten movies in the US this past year and you know Hollywood has got some great movies in store for us in 2011.  A couple from Nicholas Cage, Scream 4, Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides, Green Lantern, Thor, Cars 2, The Green Hornet, Transformers 3, part two of the Harry Potter finale, Winnie The Pooh, Captain America, The Smurfs, Final Destination 5, part one of the final  installment of Twilight,  a remake of Footloose, and the Three Musketeers to name a few.

I will predict right now that Cars 2 will be next years big winner.  Of course, if my past predictions are any indication of movie success, it may not crack the top 5 in the weekly list.

We will have all of those trailers and more for you to preview right here at NWIMe.com to help you decide on which movies you want to see.  So stay tuned in 2011 as we have some surprises in store for our readers.

On a personal note, I would like to thank all of you who read the movie news regularly.  The popularity of this column has made all the hard work worth while.

The staff at NWIMe.com would like to wish all of you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
