Chesterton, IN. 8-4-2010 – The Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 5^th annual summer celebration Party in the Park on August 21, 2010 from 5pm to 10pm in Thomas Centennial Park in Downtown Chesterton. Party in the Park has proven to be a great Duneland community event, focusing on quality entertainment for Duneland friends and families to help start off the 2010-2011 school year.

Party in the Park this year will feature many new items in comparison to previous years, including a Restaurant Community Pot Luck. Ten Chamber member restaurants will be offering one dish each for attendees to enjoy for a ‘pot luck’ style dining experience. Local Duneland organizations will be providing games and activities for children. Chesterton Police and Fire Departments will also be present to educate and provide additional fun for attendees. The event will also boast corn hole games, a beer garden, face painting, clowns, DJ entertainment, and bounce houses for all to enjoy.

Admission this year has significantly decreased thanks to contributions from all of the Party in the Park sponsors. (Sponsors are listed below). Admission is only $5.00 per person, children 10 and under are free. Tickets in advance are available at the Chamber office, 220 Broadway in Chesterton from Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
