Valparaiso IN. 3-1-11 – Start National Volunteer Week with a visit to Taltree for a special open house from 2 – 5 p.m. April 10. Learn about upcoming projects and training sessions, meet Taltree staff and volunteers and take a short tour of the arboretum, including an inside look at our newest feature– the Taltree Railway Garden.

Raffles will be drawn every half hour. Enter for a chance to win a FriendPLUS Membership to Taltree (valued at $225), a FLEXticket to the Taltree Railway Garden, or one of three basil combo pots planted by Taltree’s Horticulture staff.

Registration is not necessary. Non-members can present the gatehouse with a secret password found on Taltree’s website at www.taltree.org.   Hint: It is a flower that blooms in spring from a bulb.
