Chesterton, IN. – The Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the second annual Chamber Tailgate Chili Challenge is next Friday, September 24, 2010 from 3pm to 6pm in the Chamber of Commerce Parking lot at 220 Broadway in Chesterton.
The Chamber Tailgate Chili Challenge is held in coordination with the Chesterton High School Homecoming Parade that passes through the historic downtown.
Chamber member restaurants compete to see who has the most school spirit as well as best tasting chili sampled by the Tailgate party attendees.
Individuals who wish to be an official judge pay a nominal judging fee of $5.00 at the entrance and may try each restaurant’s chili. Those who do not wish to try chili but would still like to enjoy the Tailgate party offered by the Chamber may enter free of charge and enjoy snacks, corn hole and a beer garden by the Upper Deck Lounge.
