Chesterton, IN. 8-17-2010 – The Chesterton/Duneland Kiwanis Club is proud to announce that they will be holding a golf outing in which half of their proceeds will be donated to the Chesterton Police Department and their effort to secure a much-needed K-9 Unit. The Kiwanis K-9 Krazy 9 Outing will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Brassie Golf Club, 1110 Pearson Road in Chesterton.  Registration will be at 10:30am, with a lunch at 11:00am catered by Third Coast Spice Café, and shotgun start at noon.

The Kiwanis K-9 Krazy 9 format will mean each foursome may only use either the putter or the 9-iron, allowing for even the most unskilled golfer to enjoy the event. The cost to attend is $60 per golfer and includes lunch and entertainment for the day. Hole sponsorships are $100 and include signage and recognition at the event. Door prize donations will be accepted. The event as well will boast a putting contest and a cash payout for first and second placing teams.

The Chesterton/Duneland Kiwanis Club is a local community organization with a mission to support other local organizations and the Duneland community, specifically the future of children under the age of 5.

Reservations may be made by calling or emailing Kiwanis President Zathoe Sexton, (219) 290-1395, zathoes@hotmail.com or picking up a reservation form at the Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce, 220 Broadway in Chesterton.
