Registration for the winter basketball league is happening November 29 – December 1 at the Forrest L. Rhode Boys & Girls Club, located at 5895 Evergreen Ave in Portage. The league is a fun and instructional program focusing on fair play, honesty, and sportsmanship.
The league is divided into three age divisions: Biddy Ball for ages 6-7, $20 with membership; Junior Boys League for ages 8-10, $30 with membership; Junior Girls League for ages 8-11, $30 with membership; and Senior League for ages 11-13, $35 with membership.
Membership is $25 for one year. Scholarships are available to those who qualify. For more information about the league or anyone interested in volunteering as a coach, please contact Andy Davis, 762-4613.
The Boys & Girls Club of Porter County provides children ages 5 to 18 with quality programming emphasizing character and leadership, education and career development; community service; technology training; financial literacy; health and life skills; the arts; sports, fitness and recreation; and family outreach.
