Hammond IN. – An exhibit showcasing paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures from the Illiana Artists will be on display at the Indiana Welcome Center from August 17th to September 17th. This is the second time the associations’ work will be featured in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall. The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Tourism in Northwest Indiana.”

Members of the Illiana Artists Association are shown demos on different techniques and experience the business side of the arts. The organization gives artists an excellent opportunity to promote themselves as artists and network with artists in the area, a place where “artists are helping artists.”

An opening reception will be held on August 12th from 5pm to 7pm. The exhibit will be open daily from 8am to 6pm until Labor Day and 8am to 5pm afterward. To learn more about the Illiana Artists visit www.illianaartists.org.
