State senators, representatives will discuss current bills
Gary, IN – 2-2-2011 – On Friday, March 25, the community is invited to learn more about current legislative bills, both approved and currently being decided by the Indiana Senate, at a breakfast forum hosted by the IU Northwest Alumni Association, The IU Alumni Association Lakeshore Region Chapter and the Student Alumni Association in cooperation with Hoosiers for Higher Education.
The legislative breakfast forum will take place at 8 a.m. in the Library Conference Center (105ABC) on the IU Northwest campus located on Broadway Avenue in Gary, just one mile south of I-80/94.
A question and answer session will follow the presentations by Senators Earline Rogers (D-Gary) and Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso) and Representatives Vernon Smith (D-Gary) and Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso).
A free continental breakfast will be served. Registration is required by contacting the IU Northwest Office of Alumni Relations at (219) 980-6769 or alumninw@iun.edu.
