HAMMOND, IN – The cast is getting back together on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th for “A Christmas Story” Festival Weekend. All events will take place in Hammond, Indiana at the Indiana Welcome Center at the intersections of I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue South.
Autograph sessions at the Welcome Center include actors Scott Schwartz (Flick), Ian Petrella (Randy Parker) *, Zack Ward (Scut Farkus) and Yano Anaya (Grover Dill). Autograph fees apply. *Please note Randy Parker will only be available for Sunday’s autograph session and events.
Saturday’s events are kicked off as the cast marshals the Hammond Holiday Parade on Indianapolis Boulevard at 10am. The cast will proceed to the Indiana Welcome Center for autographs from noon until 3pm (autograph fees apply). A special Meet and Greet with the cast will also be hosted at the Indiana Welcome Center from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $20 a person and include light refreshments. No autographs will be given at this event, but door prizes will be awarded. Sunday’s festivities will kick off with the “Mommy’s Little Piggy” eating contest with special host, Randy Parker from the movie. All ages are welcome and sign-ups are online. Registration begins at 10am at the Welcome Center. Autographs will again begin at noon and go until 3pm (fees apply). Visitors can also watch “A Christmas Story” in the theater at noon, 2pm and again at 4pm. Admission to the movie is free. There is limited seating and provided on a first come, first serve basis. Kid’s crafts and food vendors will be available during the Festival Weekend as well.
Guests are welcome to view the exhibit, “A Christmas Story” Comes Home, through January 9th (hours vary for the holiday). Six scenes from the holiday movie classic are depicted in the exhibit hall at the Indiana Welcome Center. Admission is free. Photos with Santa on Santa’s Mountain are $5 a piece and are available from 11am to 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
