Well it looks like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 is here to stay for a while as is Tangled and Megamind.  Family friendly movies have staying power.

This weeks new releases are filled with some big Hollywood star power.  First on the list is Black Swan.  Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Barbara Hershey star in this thriller centered around the world of ballet.  Before you say “Ballet?”, check out the trailer.  Besides her role in the Star Wars Saga, Natalie Portman has starred in a number of great dramas and comedies so the odds of this performance being memorable are pretty good.  Add Mila Kunis who is a talent all her own from TV and movies and I predict this one making the Top 10 list.  It could be affected by its limited release status but a great movie always prevails.

Another limited release is the mystery All Good Things.  Inspired by the most notorious missing persons case in New York history, this is a love story and murder mystery set against the backdrop of a New York real estate dynasty in the 1980s.  With stars like Kirsten Dunst and Frank Langella this could find it’s way onto the Top 10 List as well.

Rounding out this weeks new releases is the martial arts western Warrior’s Way.  No doubt you have seen the commercials on TV so I Am Rogue Pictures is making sure everyone knows that this one is out there in the theatres.  Movies like this one have  limited audience appeal because of the subject matter but there is no denying that moviegoers love action movies and martial arts arts has a very loyal following.  I don’t see it replacing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 or Tangled but a big weekend could see it knocking off Megamind.  I see this one coming in at no lower than number 5.

Up next week is The Tourist and Part 3 of the Narnia series.  Drama and family means box office gold especially with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.  Bring on the holiday flicks!  All the latest movie news you need is right here so stay tuned and stay informed!
