GARY, IN 3-3-2011 – The Gary SouthShore RailCats are looking for energetic and outgoing applicants for the 2011 season interested in game day positions and summer internships with Northwest Indiana’s premier professional sports franchise.

 

Both the RailCats and Aramark, the RailCats concessionaire, are accepting applications for a variety of game day positions including cleaning crew, ushers, ticket takers, ticket sellers, game attendants and food service personnel. Those interested must visit the offices at U. S. Steel Yard in person Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. and complete an application. All applications must be filled out in the RailCats office and any application that leaves the building will not be accepted.

The RailCats are also on the lookout for members of the all new RailCats Street Team. This guerrilla marketing group will be the public faces of the RailCats in the Region making stops and appearances throughout Northwest Indiana all summer long. Those interested in becoming a member of the RailCats Street Team should submit a resume and cover letter via email to Natalie Kirby at nkirby@railcatsbaseball.com.

In addition, the RailCats will continue to accept applications for the Summer Rotational Internship Program. The RailCats have designed this program to serve as an enriching experience for students planning to pursue a career in professional sports by exposing interns to the many facets of a professional baseball organization and giving them hands-on experience in each department. The internship program is for current college students and runs from May through the first weekend in September. The RailCats open their first season as members of the American Association on the road against Grand Prairie on May 12 and return to action at beautiful U. S.
