Many people in the NWI region know who NWIMe.com is but we are still not where we would like to be yet!

There is a lot of ground to cover here so we are putting this message out to Northwest Indiana in two parts so please follow up on Saturday, June 4th 2011 to read Part 2.

We officially called it a launch as of January 1st, 2011 but have been building this idea since early 2010 and we need your help.  The five counties in Northwest Indiana that we cover are Lake, Jasper, La Porte, Porter and Newton.

NWIMe.com is brought to you by the Blurp Media Company which is in business to motivate, structure and cover the web media for many clients that have achieved great success.  We decided to bring NWIMe.com to the internet because Northwest Indiana needs the connection and we have a plan in place to be that connection!

If you take a few minutes to go through some of our sections, it is very clear what our mission is and what the three main elements are; Entertainment, Community Information and Local Business Connection and we are going to continue to build on these elements with a family friendly integrity being our cornerstone.

There are a few news and information websites in our NWI region that do a great job covering some of these things but they don’t cover it all, and they are not in one place. We feel that there is always a gap, and with your help we can be your main source for all things NWI.

We are constantly putting together new sections in our site as well as publishing new content but we could use some suggestions and some input that only YOU can give us because after all, this site is All About YOU!

As with most other media outlets, we strive to deliver interesting news in a timely fashion.  Our small staff goes out regularly and talks to and covers as many things as our schedules allow but with some local support via email, phone and our new Discussion forums, you can help spread the word to Northwest Indiana residents for things to do or to read about in relation to Entertainment, Community and Business related happenings.

In the past year we have published information for and/or covered events and press releases for organizations such as the Lake County Parks, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Opportunity Enterprises, Indiana University Northwest, South Shore CVA, Chesterton/Duneland Chamber of Commerce and many more.

There are so many exciting things to do that are put together by a wide variety of people, organizations and businesses within Northwest Indiana and with your help we can be your source for all things NWI!  Social networking, participation and support is key to achieving our goals and we will be explaining all of this in part 2 of our message.

The Magic That The Holidays Can Bring:

The presents get opened and the days are filled with cheer, but let’s not forget the people that are around us all during the year.

New beginnings are born and families are brought together, but let’s not forget the friends that we treasure.

Life can be lonely when nobody is around, so let’s all do our part in making a cheerful sound. Children will laugh and people will sing but opening your eyes can be a very insightful thing.

Taking life for granted can be a very easy thing to do, but if you look around the World, there are many things that we can do.

The Holidays can be warm when you make it your plan, but the magic you give to people can indeed be grand.

So open your hearts so the World can hear, and make the Holiday Magic spread throughout the year!

We are so pleased to announce our new Video & Media Community!

We have been using our similar version in our chat forum and now we have placed it in its own section.

There are so many features in the new section and we invite you to have a look!

You can create your own profile as always but now you can store your own picture albums, upload videos, upload your MP3s, invite and create a friends list, fully customize your profile and more!

We will be adding a full list of features in a day or two along with full instructions on how to use it but don’t let that stop you from diving in!

Well folks it’s time to get this party started! I will be bringing you my best and worst opinions every week here in the Me Zone. I hope that you will jump in on the conversations by commenting on the posts. The people of Northwest Indiana need to voice their opinions as to what is going on in their communities as well as the world and I for one would love to hear your thoughts!
