Michigan City, IN (November 16, 2010) – Washington Park Zoo Director, Johnny P. Martinez has been appointed to a five year term to the Governing Board of the Zoological Association of America.  Mr. Martinez along with Jim Fowler (of Mutual of Omaha Fame), and Matt Oldenburg (Zoo Director of Zoo of Acadia, Louisiana) were voted in by 74% of the association’s membership at the 8^th Annual Conference held in Lafayette, LA.

Johnny holds a Professional Fellow Membership and also serves as a Zoo Accreditation Inspector for the Zoological Association of America.
